DeciSym exists to help secure, mission-driven organizations turn siloed, fragmented data into trusted insight—fast, reliably, and without infrastructure friction. Our modular platform transforms raw or sensitive data into structured, reusable assets that support better decisions in high-assurance environments.
Born from real-world frustration in national security and scientific R&D, DeciSym was founded to address the massive gap between the data analysts have and the insight they need. Our founding team experienced firsthand how manual, brittle, and redundant the data prep process can be, especially in environments that can’t rely on cloud services or centralized infrastructure. So we built a solution that respects those constraints: one that enables secure, semantic integration without the burden of building and maintaining complex pipelines.
DeciSym was founded in 2022 by Dr. Don Pellegrino, with a mission to rethink data operations for secure, decentralized environments—from cyber testing programs to R&D workflows.

Founder
Don Pellegrino, PhD
Dr. Don Pellegrino is the founder and CEO of DeciSym, a data solutions company enabling secure, reusable insight from fragmented information in high-assurance environments. With over 20 years of experience in semantic technologies, NLP, and high-performance data systems, Don has delivered mission-critical solutions for the Pentagon, DHS, U.S. Navy, Dow, and Pfizer. His work has earned international recognition in visual analytics and data integration.
A specialist in ontology engineering and RDF-based architectures, Don has designed triple stores and inference systems deployable in air-gapped, tactical, and federated settings—addressing operational needs in defense, cybersecurity, and scientific R&D. Prior to DeciSym, he led advanced knowledge management and AI integration efforts at ManTech, Dow Chemical, and DuPont.
Don holds a PhD in Information Studies from Drexel University, where his research focused on visual discovery and semantic interoperability. His leadership at DeciSym reflects a deep commitment to turning siloed data into trusted, decision-grade insight.
